How I evaluate brands

Every brand on this list gets compared on the same things: composition, format, how the food achieves balance, whether it's HPP'd, protein variety, portion size, price per pound, and how it ships. Same categories, every time — so you're comparing brands, not marketing copy.

I can't feed these brands myself from the US, so I evaluate them differently: ingredient panels, how balance is achieved, recall history, how specific a company is about sourcing, and what long-time raw feeders in Australia actually report. That's a different kind of assessment than my US reviews, and I'd rather say so than blur the line.
